ill titlePLM Test

The Posturo-Locomotor-Manual (PLM) test was developed in 1980’s for obtaining objective and quantitative measurements of motor impairment in patients with Parkinson’s disease. It involves completing a familiar task that can be accomplished safely with no prior training of participants. The test has proven its reliability and sensitivity in numerous studies and has contributed to our understanding of changes in motor function across the lifespan as well as issues of dysfunction in populations suffering from injury and disease.

Our research about PLM test involves: (1) assessing PLM parameters using inertial measurement units; (2) expanding our knowledge in motor control and dysfunction by use of the PLM test.
